This mid 19th century house forms part of Princes Gate Mews, a cobbled cul-de-sac located just moments away from Exhibition Road.
Hogarth Architects have reconfigured this modest Mews property into a four bedroom, bright and contemporary family home.
A new basement extending across the entirety of the site allows for an additional floor of family space. Generous voids puncturing through all floors draw natural light down into the basement and dramatically connect the interior spaces to one another and the sky above. Additional light floods through the roof light above the feature staircase, illuminating the heart of the house.
The timeless material palette is intentionally simple enhancing the hints of walnut veneer and the detailed flush finishes throughout.
