Hogarth Architects have won planning permission for a £1 million new-build project to build a contemporary home and office. The new building replaces an existing, two storey, pitched roof structure The design is for a 265sqm, three bedroom house and office with a green roof and sunken garden. The design aims to relate to its neighbours while clearly defining itself as a separate building. The upper floor features a cantilevered bay window photo etched with a William Morris plant pattern, this is combined with modulated façades of bronze ventilation panels and Peterson bricks creating a sculptural addition to the streetscape.
