Hogarth Office Expansion Party
Last night here at HA headquarters we celebrated the unofficial unveiling of our latest office expansion project; the creation of a new meeting space / cafe area. The evening was catered for by our excellent in house chef Lara, of Wheelie Grub Fulham.
The evening was a great success, and we look forward to the full launch party in September, where we hope to show off the space to all the lovely people we work with.
Evening Night Ride for the Hogarth Architects Team
On a lovely summers evening, the Hogarth team, led by Ian Hogarth himself set about on a ride from the edge of Surrey, along the Wandle Trail. 11 cyclists from the office made their way down to Croydon (Wandle Park Tram Station, to be exact), and carved their way along river paths, through parks, darting across the odd a-road and weaving through quiet residential streets, all the while following the much trodden Wandle Trail down towards Wandsworth.
Project revisit: Happy client enjoying home designed by Hogarth Architects
The above recently completed job were sent into us by a very happy client. The latest photos show how the completed house has settled into its garden setting, and created an excellent rear addition that opens out onto the garden. The before and after photos show the drastic change from the original house to its current look.
Hogarths Achieve Planning on Exciting New Scheme in Wandsworth
Hogarth Architects are delighted to announce planning approval for an exciting development in Wandsworth. Located in a conservation area, the proposal converts a large family home into self contained flats, with the addition of a brand new 3 storey home to the rear. The design of the new family home features beautiful vertical timber slats to the exterior, with dark metal cladding to help it sit comfortably with the grey house it adjoins.
Annual Hogarth Table Tennis Tournament 2016
The 2nd annual Hogarth Architects table tennis tournament took place last night as the clouds cleared for a beautiful evening in West London. Competition was tough, with drinks and food to keep the captivated audience happy. It was Chloe Allen, playing in her first HA table tennis tournament who came out on top, securing a win against the boss himself no less! Returning champion Colin Reynolds was unable to match Chloe on the day, but will surely be looking for revenge next year!

Home Extension & Renovation Completed in North London
Hogarth Architects are pleased to announce that we have recently completed a full home renovation with rear ground floor extension in North London. Within the scheme there are a number of elements and details designed to create a clean and modern home, perfect for life in a bustling world city. From frameless skylights to Scandinavian acoustic wall panels, timber slat roofing to highlight LEDs, the property has been transformed.
More photos and a longer write up will soon follow.
Planning permission granted
We have just had planning permission granted for a multifunctional outbuilding within a primary school garden in the Brompton’s conservation area in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. We proposed a free-form structure that is in itself a “toy”, providing unexpected play areas, like an incorporated climbing wall, external and internal seating and a playful study/library area, as well as the necessary storage for the children’s outdoors activities.
Casamara to be featured in The Sunday Times
These four amazing new-build coastal homes in Cornwall are close to completion and will appear in this week’s Sunday Times edition.

Musical comeback
After 6 years removed from the music world, our Office Manager Jamie Randall has been hard at work creating some new tracks. The Soundcloud link below is part of a bigger project of his called ‘Thank You’. Have a listen and watch out for Jamie playing at a city near you soon!
Modelling for Planning
We are now in the planning stage for a new build in Wimbledon. It is a contemporary design in a narrow, long plot within a conservation area; demanding a very detailed planning application including a model illustrating the scale of the proposal in relation to the large late Victorian and early Edwardian neighbouring buildings. The model will aid the planners in making a decision, providing an overarching view of the property and its surroundings.

Base Line
We are currently in the construction phase of a basement and rear extension for a 3-story house in Knightsbridge, as well as a complete internal reconfiguration. Construction began two months ago and the excavation, and underpinning, of the extensive basement has been completed as has the above ground steel structure.
Settrington Road, SW6 completed
One of the most recently completed projects was Settrington Road SW6, which is now on the market. A Victorian family home extended over four floors with an outlook over South Park; the master bedroom’s sliding doors lead onto a private roof terrace which exploits uninterrupted views over the park. The bespoke kitchen and breakfast room’s sliding doors, leading out into a 21ft South West facing rear garden, capitalize on the outdoor space available; an integral element of the project.
Hogarth Architects take part in Charity Football Tournament
Hogarth Architects were privileged to be offered the opportunity to take part in a charity football tournament, with all proceeds going to The Anthony Nolan Charity, a charity that works to save the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders.
The event was organised by Richard Davison, in support of his sister Rachel, and all the fantastic work the charity have done in helping her with her condition.
The tournament was a huge success, with great fun had by everyone involved. Each game was hard fought but fair, with the office team being crowned eventual winners after a thrilling 3-2 final win against Zero Zero.
As well as the football tournament, Richard and his brother in law will be running the 2016 London Marathon. If you would like to donate to this great course, please visit the Just Giving Page.
Hogarth Architects would like to congratulate Richard on a great tournament, and wish him all the best of luck in reaching his fundraising goal.
