Alexandra Barbu — Part 1 architectural assistant
Alexandra was recently certified with a full Diploma in Architecture, having finished her MArch at Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism, Bucharest. During her studies she spent a year at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, where she started her personal research within the field of Strategic Spatial Planning.
Whilst in Belgium, Alexandra’s practical experience included working on various projects for private clients, which built upon her technical knowledge, which was further enhanced through an internship within a civil engineering company in Prague and an extended internship at Henning Larsen, Munich, Germany.
In search of a new challenge, she decided to take a leap of faith and move to London, due to her interest in the city's urban pathology.
Having always been an avid reader, Alexandra is a rather quiet person who finds hobbies in discovering the full extents of architectural theory and the anatomy of the built environment through whatever means she has.
